The Felix Project, a London based charity, rescues surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, and redistributes it to over 1,000 community organisations across London. This includes organisations working with those facing food poverty, homelessness, refugees, domestic violence victims, and included are over 170 primary schools. In addition, the charity operates Felix’s Kitchen, wherein some of donated surplus food is cooked into delicious, nutritious meals ready for those in need.

Lucy Eaglesome, Senior Corporate Partnership Officer at The Felix Project says “We cannot thank The Penny Group and The Openwork Foundation enough for their generosity in presenting The Felix Project with a £15,000 grant. Felix’s Kitchen has been essential through the cost-of-living crisis as we have seen more and more Londoners limit their energy usage or unable to use their appliances to cook any donated food into meals. This grant of £15,000 will allow Felix’s Kitchen to create, cook and deliver over 12,000 meals across London. That is 12,000 people who do not have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. We cannot thank you enough for this support.”
