The Penny Group acquires majority stake in Harridge Financial Services Ltd.
TPG and Harridge announce strategic merger to strengthen client offering
The Penny Group is thrilled to announce it has acquired a majority stake of Harridge Financial Services, a well-established financial advice practice based in Hungerford, Berkshire, marking the beginning of a phased integration between the two firms.
This latest deal continues The Penny Group’s growth strategy, taking total assets to over £2bn, and adviser headcount to 48.

The Penny Group Harridge
Harridge, owned and led by Simon and Sue Jukes, was formed in 1991 and manages approximately £350m across ten advisers. The business recently acquired Bolton-based Heavenly Finances Ltd. in a deal which added £85m AUA. Following completion of the transaction, Harridge will continue to operate as a separate entity but will trade as The Penny Group Harridge, signalling the first steps of integration over a three-year timeframe.
Initially, the integration will focus on functional areas such as infrastructure, HR and finance, while client-facing operations will remain unchanged. Both businesses run Trainee Financial Planner/Academy programmes, which will be aligned over time to create enhanced career pathways and a stronger foundation for future growth. Broader collaboration between adviser and client service teams is planned for 2026 and beyond.
Graeme Morrissey, Partner at The Penny Group:
“Harridge is a fantastic business which has been built on a core foundation of trust from clients and between colleagues which mirrors The Penny Group’s values.
